On July 23 & 24, 2005, Wings of the North held Air Expo 2005 at the Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Although it was a two-day event, these photos are only from the first day. In mid-morning, a huge thunderstorm stopped the show and the event coordinators herded everyone into one of the large hangars to wait it out. I didn't feel like being crowded into a hot and humid hangar with a few thousand people, so I took shelter under a tent and rode out the storm. There were a few scary moments with the lightning, but getting a little wet was well worth the show.
